I don't know about you guys but I just can't wait to see what Clevo will have in store for us. Its been very quite lately regarding new Clevo models, anyone got more info?
-
Anyone goes on Tuesday? I´ll be there @9:30.
-
Germany... Too far away from my home :-s
Pl -
I wish I could go there... but I cannot afford the trip or even have the time.
Maybe next year.
Hopefully whoever goes gets some really good pics.
-
me is going there!
-
you dont have to go because you already know what they will have in store
-
wish Clevo would send me some plane tickets for free since I think I deserve it.
-
No question! You are Clevo's ambassador on this forum. Not only airfare, they should put you up at the Ritz!
-
Gophn, why don't you show that you have such clout in the forums for future events? You are their best marketing maven i have seen. I'm sure if you make your presence known to them they'll give you some allowance to attend such events.
-
They know of me.... and of NBR.
But they can care less from what sources have told me.... meh.
To them.... we are just an amateur source of information.
(which is pretty true I guess... since we dont see reps from ASUS, Toshiba, etc... here) -
Gophn, they may fear you one day. Keep your eyes on that book, and you will dethrone the world of computers
and Kaltmond, please get some good pictures, of the models, and the stuff they are modeling for
K-TRON -
Honestly, though, you've probably personally made Clevo 100K in revenue. Seriously, think about it...
-
Dude, I didn't say take second hand info and hope for the best. I was suggesting you yourself approach them and let them know the impact you have on these forums. Most you have to lose is for them to say 'We appreciate your enthusiasm but we do not sponsor internet spokespeople to these events'
But guess what....they now would KNOW you and you'd be sure for sure.
I really honestly think you should consider it, some of the best marketing is done through word of mouth and experienced users like yourself giving the company props, relatively inexpensive for them since you don't ask for a fee and I'm sure they are always wanting to expand to new markets, which the internet every year is opening more and more. -
Funny you said that.
I have done that a few weeks ago before breaking the Clevo CeBIT models article.
I did not even get a reply from any Clevo rep (that I CC'ed it to).... I even tracked the email... it was not blocked or bounced back.
I was just ignored apparently.... meh.
Why do I do it....
... I guess I care more about informing the masses than getting monetary gain. -
Which reminds me. How much have you accumulated in the "Gophn needs something new" fund anyways?
-
to date: $70
thanks to all that have contributed.... (and NO, there was no Clevo donation... LOL)
... seriously, I appreciate it... more than I could have expected.
-
A Little Side-Note:
The reason why a lot of my guides are not up to date yet on NBR is because...
its going up on another site I am hosting and running.... with a familiar domain name
I was tired to dealing with imageshack and the HTML limitation on vBulletin.
I will announce it soon.... watch for it on my sig.
I am making it close to a Wiki/Blog style so that everyone can contribute to it... like adding new vendors to the Clevo Guide.
-
That is truly unbelievable. If you were talking about Dell or Apple or HP, I would understand, but Clevo?!
-
I think they do not want to associate with a website or person that works on rumors and speculations... which could be problematic for an ODM that needs to only work on facts and timelines.
-
Awesome. I look forward to that, although the domain I'm thinking of is still available, hmmm.
-
Gophn, you earn well respect from us, no matter how Clevo looks you amateur or professional
-
