So I just got my new 9150 today and have noticed some light leakage at the top and bottom of the screen (the middle part in the pic is my reflection).

This CAN'T be normal right? Is it just too tightened?

Guess I should contact my reseller here in Canada? This totally sucks.

Also, how do I check that I got the 95% gamut screen?

I also got an AMD 7970 but it doesn't show up when I use TechPowerUp GPU.

I installed all the drivers from the disk that came with the notebook from Sager.

Sorry if these are amateur problems... any help would be appreciated!

Scratch my 2nd post issue. I tried installing the drivers from the cd again and it worked and now I can see I have a 7970m.

Light issue blows though. It obviously only shows up with a black screen... like when windows starts up.

Dude that's a pretty normal looking screen. I think most LED screens have some light leakage, I know mine certainly does. Mine looks pretty much like that pic. I wouldn't worry, you'll get over it soon enough.

while majority say it is normal, i would say it is on the worse side of normal.

you have no idea what you're talking about.

there were a couple threads on this a few months ago, OP. i forget what the name of this type of bleed is called, but you should be able to find those threads by searching the sager/clevo subforum. you should really take higher resolution photos if there's something you want us to look at too.

Proper name is backlight bleeding. For what ever reason it tends to be more on the higher gamut screens

From yesterday (first day) to today, the problem seems to have dissipated. It looks like they were there from the padding in the box. But now that it's had time to 'decompress' so to speak, it is much more minimal.

    Lol, subtle.

OP, glad to hear it has... disappeared. But if it really is an issue for you then get it exchanged. To me judging by that photo that looks like a pretty standard amount of light bleed. Most screens tend to have a percentage of it. Sometimes it's worse than others. I remember back when I had an Asus G73, that thing had the worst back light bleed I've ever experienced. Far worse than what is in your pic.
