I've ordered the NP8150 and on the surface it doesn't appear there should be any issue with installing Linux on this machine however I was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with this and could give a thumbs up if all worked as expected. I did find one post on the Ubuntu forum where someone was having issues with the Jmicron JMC250 ethernet controller in terms of making a connection, in his post he said he solved it by updating the driver but when I PMed him he indicated he was still having issues.
Anyone else can provide a positive experience as being able to run Linux is very important to me as it is my primary OS for work.

I wasn't able to compile the JMC250 controller, didn't really try to fix it, besides I use wifi. Ubuntu didn't detect the video card as NVidia, but installing driver worked fine. I downloaded the sources of the wifi driver (stock, non Intel), compiled, worked fine as well. Everything else was detected.

Thanks for the reply, what version of Ubuntu were you using?
