Hey so You can see my set-up in my user tag. Got home today after running errands and noticed there was some stuff of the screen. figured one of my grandmas cats just sprayed the screen (its gross, but they do that.... little #$%#). i just wiped it off.
anywho i turned it on and it started beeping and asked me what OS i wanted to load. I powered it off so fast.... and took a closer look and noticed there was more liquid in between the keys and it was pooled under the laptop..... so i figure one of those #$%#$ cats peed on it... but it doesnt really smell like cat urine so im a bit perplexed.
i wiped up all the liquid i could get to, opened the bottom and there doesnt seem to be much on the electronic parts.
It seems like most of it is right under the keyboard casing. i dont know how to open that part. what do i do? is it f-ed no matter what?

For any liquid damage it is best to let the system completely dry before you power it on. You might want to take out the keyboard (press in tabs above the function keys with a tiny flat head screw driver) and carefully remove. After you detach the keyboard ribbon from the motherboard and out of the system rest the keyboard upside down to drain any remaining liquid. Once the keyboard is out you can see if there is additional liquid that made it through. You might want to stick a fan on the system for a day or so to ensure any remaining liquid is dried up.

if there was any dmg to be done on it its probably done, but just in case, hold off on trying to turn it on until its COMPLETELY dry. leave it off for a couple of days.
blowing in it with a blowdryer helps
my nephew spilled water all over his, and it was dead for a week. 2 weeks later, i try to turn it on and voila! it works... been working ever since.
