    Hi,

Simple- but would make life a lot easier for me. I don't think I'm alone in saying I more frequently use the volume/screen off/brightness keys than any Alt+F_ shortcut.

Aside from using sticky tape (ha)- Is it possible to lock the "FN" key?

Is there an option in the Bios? Does PremaMod's bios allow for it?

Why would you want to lock the fn key? it's pretty stupid...

I disagree. Not stupid at all.

For me, it's practical. I much more frequently use the volume/screen off/brightness keys than any Alt+F_ shortcut. Doesn't make sense to me. All apple products are like this.

    So does anyone have ideas?

well considering it'll prevent you from using actual function keys in games (like for quicksaving)... not sure why you'd like it on a gaming machine. But feel free to ask offer to buy Prema some beer for a BIOS that lets you lock it with say... a double-tap of the FN key or something? I dunno. See if he can do something. But you are asking a very.... weird (and impractical to 99.9% of people) function.

There is no simple way to disable them though software, ycon. A firmware mod, like D2 mentioned, is something you can explore, but beyond that it is what it is.

Also, please understand... modding your FN key to always on means Escape, "1", numpads 1, 3, 7, 9, 0 and del as well as the `/~ key would be impossible to press with FN locked, as they are all tied to functions.
