I was looking around and it seems different websites have different prices for similar configs of this laptop
Any clue which website would be the best to buy from?

Actually the prices should be almost identical if you carefully compare the same configurations.

A good resource for selecting a dealer is ResellerRatings.com. You can look up virtually any dealer to find out what their customers say about doing business with them, how long they have been in business and how good their service is.

You can't go wrong with PowerNotebooks or Xotic. Prices are near identical and I believe they both price match. Both have excellent reputations and are active on these forums.

But you can't customize with novatech :\ (or can you ?)
There's always RockDirect or KobaltComputers in UK, but they're more expensive...

In Europe the M570RU-U is hard to come by at a decent price.Ordering from the US,and paying the VAT will still get you a better price than most european resellers.
It`s just Novatech that has some decent prices, even if a tad bigger than the ones is US.
Rock has european pick up and return warranty, whereas I don`t know about the others.Maybe that`s why they`re so expensive. However,it`s just too much.

yep Europe is expensive, although ordering from the US and paying the VAT could work out cheaper on purchase, but anything going wrong means you will have to pay the shipping there and back, which works out even more expensive, that's why i was determined not to buy from a US reseller - however good they are.

The machine I got, will cost around 17.500 DKr ~ $3.500, if bought through a danish reseller, so they indeed are expensive in Europe, compared to getting it from us, where Sagers webshop gives price of $2.489 with a T8100 and otherwise similar config to mine, thats a $1.000 diffrence, which is quite a lot! Heck, the Dell M1730 with a T9300 has a pricetag of 19.500 DKr ~ $3.900

We really have to get some more Clevo/Sager resellers in Europe :)

Man, you should take a look at Asia-Pacific in that case. We don't even have a re-seller here. At least you have the peace-of-mind after paying so much for a system. I'm getting a 5793 for myself (a friend is bringing it over from the US) and my biggest worry is the lack of warranty coverage. Makes me want to pick up an $800 Vostro instead and save a ton of money...

Auuw thats really sad to hear :( And I thought we were lacking here in Denmark

Yes, I atleast don't have to ship it half the world, if something goes wrong. But if you get it through one of the respected resellers, I guess that there will still be some sort of warranty :) Haven't bought really expensive electronics over the web yet

Heck, we want clevo worldwide as dell ;)

Maybe we (or, more likely, our overseas brethren) should just start local Clevo reseller organizations - maybe the good folks at xoticpc and powernotebooks, for example, would give some pointers on starting up a Clevo resell operation (so long as you didn't ship back into the US :D ).

well if any of the clevo/sager resellers in the US are interested in starting an EU branch, just pm me and we can talk.

14 years experience with machines, and these days I am reduced to an Oracle DBA.

I would love to set up building machines, I think it might be time to contact clevo.

Regular movie dvd's wont have any difference between the two resolutions , its just when you get to High Definition the WUXGA will allow 1080p
