    Hi,

I'm Elaugaufein aka Kalanry aka Kalanyr, I've borrowed someone elses laptop so I can login properly again. As mentioned in the BIOS thread I flashed the latest EC and BIOS from palkeo's mirror and now I'm having problems getting my OS to start properly. Prema tells me I need a new vBIOS (GTX680M vBIOS 80.04.67.00.01) to go with the EC and BIOS, unfortunately its Saturday and my reseller is closed for the weekend and doesn't have an online download site, so I've got a laptop thats mostly non-functional (I can run Linux in recovery mode but that isn't very useful apart from reassuring me that I haven't lost any data), is there any chance that someone could point me at/supply me with the necessary vBIOS ?

    Thanks

I'm not sure if you need a specific bios, but the one I have for the 680m in my p170hm is 80.04.29.00.01. I can upload it somewhere, or email it to you if that's the one you need. just PM me.

Thank you for the offer, but unfortunately anything older than the one listed is incompatible with the new BIOS in UEFI mode due to a bug.

Wish I could help, I don't have that particular one lying around in my laptop and unable to access anything that would being out and about travelling for the weekend. I'll ask around and see if I can find anybody that has it.

Thank you Derek. One of things I've found here is how unbelievably helpful the resellers here are with Clevo/Sager books. A lot of resellers wouldn't help at all unless you bought your laptop from them.

Yes I had a rummage around my BIOS draw but I could only find 80.04.29.00.01 as well. I'll check around some other places to see if I can find it.

EDIT: You might want to try messaging SVL7 over on the techinferno forums, he tends to get a lot of bios files going his way.

Or just use the OCedition which has the OC limits removed.

Wednesday is here; did your reseller help you in getting that BIOS file? Or are you still on the hunt?
