    Hi,

I'm looking for a 17'' laptop for 3d rendering. I’ve been tempted by the Dell M90 for a long time, since it’s a mobile workstation and I want a reliable and capable tool.

But reading this site news and forums I’ve discovered what clevo is and what they build. I’m interested in the Eurocom M570RU Divine.

Can anybody give me some information about their build quality and guarantee? Does it match the build quality of a professional laptop like the Dell Precision line?

    Thanks in advance! :)

    Whats your budget and needs?

Can you fill out the faq really quick?

Read the Clevo Guide for more resellers.

The build quality of Clevo notebooks can all be read in the reviews... which mainly states "amazingly sturdy, no flex in the chassis, superior build, etc..."

for desktop replacement, you are probably geared to these two models, they will be the notebooks to beat for 2007-2008:

This will be the best 17" gaming notebook for the money for 2007-2008.

No rip-off pricing like others that will be in its class, Dell XPS, Alienware, etc..

    Differences:

The D900C is a desktop replacement with more power (desktop CPU and SLI interchangeable MXM videocards, less batterylife, and more storage (3 HDDs).

The M570RU is a powerful notebook with optimal power (new mobile CPUs and single interchangeable MXM videocard, better batterylife, and single HDD.

So these notebooks are both powerful, but has different features that makes them distinct from consumer to consumer.

They are both great machines, but the D900C is more costly... while the M570RU has better portability (batterylife and weight).

Its just up to you on what would fit you better.

    Hope this helps,
    -Gophn

Thanks Gophn for all this info. I would use the notebook mainly at home, but I'd like to have the chance to take it out for work, and it looks like the M570RU is more portable. Moreover, I don't like fan noise when working, and I'm not sure that the D900C is as quiet as a review I read here said... at least not after 20 minutes of CPU processing, for example, when doing a render.
So the M570RU is at this time my favorite notebook. Now I will only wait a couple of weeks for 8800M news, and then I will decide between Rock or Eurocom, Xotic,... any suggestion or comments about build quality or service?

Where are you from? US or UK? I would recommend buying from either XoticPC or Powernotebooks because they have cheaper prices than Rock and Eurocom. The latter two put their name on the notebook and increase the price even if only by a little. I know that XoticPC does ship internationally but you should email Justin about prices and anything else you want to know. Either way, you are getting great service not to mention friendly service from both of them. Both sites have advisers that frequent this website quite often and they are always willing to help.

As far as build quality, it's up in the air since the notebooks have not yet begun shipping out but it will definitely be one of the strongest notebooks you have ever used. This pretty much means, no ripples by pressing from the back of the LCD, zero to little flex anywhere, quality hardware, zero bloatware, etc.....I'm about three weeks about buying the Clevo M570RU as well and I am very anxious. Good luck and please post pictures and review once you get it.

I'm from Barcelona, so Europe. Thanks for your recomendations about companies and general info. This will be my first notebook and I want it to last at least 3 years. I can't wait to read reviews about the M570RU... and maybe post mine if I finally get it. :)
