    Looking to Buy a P950HR Motherboard

    Hello all,

    I am pretty sure my graphics card is dead, so I am looking around to buy a replacement motherboard for my P950HR. However, I haven't been able to find any resellers or eBay listings for a P950HR motherboard...

    I just signed up to ask this all-mighty forum if anyone knows any ways to get my hand my this motherboard? Even proper used ones would be ok...

    Edit: Eluktronics checked the exact price, so it is $935 to replace the motherboard + $75 diagnosis fee. BTW, the barebone itself was $1100 back in April...

    Why not consider fixing that gpu?
    Check eurocom or rjtech for clevo parts

    CPU & GPU being surface mounted, the board will run on the high side. Have you tried RJTech?

    RJTech doesn't have this particular motherboard yet... (Obviously the warranty is voided if I modified the thermal system.)

    Um... I didn't know fixing a soldered GPU is ever a valid option? I did try troubleshooting drivers and other thingss, but most alarmingly, the GPU is not showing up in my BIOS anymore...

    Actually no, but I did once try LM so there is a trace on the copper. Then I went back to normal paste because it was not much of an improvement. I am obviously a fool for doing that...

    Depends which region you are in - consumer laws have different protection for customers in Europe than they do for the US for example. If your GPU is dead and you've done something to the laptop which could have, or did, directly affect the perforamcne of that component then you're unlikely to be able to uphold your warranty claim - but that's assuming that the company you purchased the laptop from decides that they will void your warranty based exclusively on their engineer's report.

    Even if there are warranty void stickers on the d-cover, these aren't valid under a legal basis because a consumer has the right to upgrade any components which are deemed available "off the shelf" such as RAM, SSDs and so on. That's 100% the case here anyway, could be different in other regions.
