Hello, I've been dreaming of purchasing a Sager for years. For my last 2 laptops I settled on Lenovo.

I've never paid more than 1K for a laptop so I don't have a good feel for prices in this range.

I've got a buddy who wants to sell me his 8652, comes with 16 GB ram, 2 M.2 HDs (128 GB & 500 GB) & no OS. I think he paid a shade over 2K from Xotic for it. He's asking $1,700. He's owned it since January.

In your opinion, is that a good/fair/bad deal?

Thanks for your help, I look forward to joining your ranks!

I read your thread yesterday and was going to advocate going for a little less (have to take my word for it!), but didn't want to be responsible for any potential friendship sabotage. 1500 seems like a much better price when amongst friends.

Obama has it right in this case.

Haha, well, truth be told, I told a little white lie. I didn't want anyone pushing up the eBay bidding price! ;)

The old friend trick! I'm fairly new here, so I was oblivious to the whole thing.

I appreciate you not ridiculing me for not seeing the obvious. Certainly some folks reading the thread did. :) Glad that you got it for a solid price.
