I ordered my NP8662 about 2 week ago from pctorque (great reseller btw) and it seems like they are finally out. My laptop just shipped two days ago and I'll be patiently (not!) for it today as I got 3 day shipping.

    And they're off!

I'll tell you guys how the new GPU performs and once I get it. I promise to run some benchmarks for you guys xD.

Basically, yes, but it has slightly higher clocks, and hopefully more overclocking potential

the first batch of 8662's went out lightning fast, and they said it would take a couple weeks till they get another one in.

    that was last week

Balmore - I'm very interested in how ETW plays on that bad boy. Can you post your impressions, plus the settings you were able to use? Pre and post next patch would be nice :D

i didn't patch it yet cause i didn't have time, i was installing some other games like crysis and whatnot on it, but i did get a chance to play a few short battles.

i had my settings on all high with a few ultra high (i forgot which one) and units on ultra large, on 1600x1200 with maximum amount of units allowed.

on siege and normal and sea battle the game ran flawlessly, no lags at all, i'm going to try putting a few more things on ultra high today after i get home.

i ran crysis on all high 1600x1200 flawlessly as well, all ultra high lags, but i think its capable of squeezing a few ultra's in there.

i didn't do any benchmarking yet so i don't have any exact number.

    sigh...CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

This type of information is not helping me hold out until Clevo either speaks out about MXM2.1 support for the 5797 (in terms of future GPU's beyond the 280M) or releases an MXM3.0 variant (which doesn't appear to be on the horizon any time soon).
