Ever since I got it a week and a half ago, my D901C's power supply has been making a rather loud, irritating buzzing sound whenever the laptop is drawing a lot of power (like when gaming). It sounds almost like a little fan or something running, but I don't think the power supply has a cooling fan of its own, does it? Is this sound normal?
It also makes a high pitched whining sound sometimes when it's either in standby or asleep (drawing little to no power). Is this normal as well?
Just want to make sure I don't have a damaged/faulty, potentially dangerous power supply...
    Thanks!

Yes it can. Know about what your talking about before you post.

How cool is the brick? Sometimes ICs and transformers can make whine like sounds (via resonation), but it isn't normal. If you experience problems with it, talk to the reseller that you bought it from.

The D901C power brick is 220 watt made by LiShin right?
If it is, its probably the same one my D900K has
The power supply does make noise.
When I start mine up the power supply makes all kinds of funky high pitched noises since it is starting up, and under quite a large load.
However once its on for maybe a minute no noise comes out from it at all

You may want to contact the reseller and see if you can get a replacement power brick.

The power brick always stays quite cool. But I'll contact the reseller about it. Thanks for the advice.
