I just got my Sager 8130 and the mic volume is too low. The drivers are installed, the default has been configured, the mute is not on, and the volume is set to 100. It can definitely hear the click of the trackpad button (goes almost up to 50% on the volume bar), but it can't pick up my voice even if my mouth is right next to it. I did the Speech Recognition with my face next to the mic and it registered only a tiny blip on the yellow part (it goes Yellow, Green, and then Red). Does anyone have any ideas?

There should be a +20db setting somewhere for the microphone.
Where this is located in the OS depends on which sound chip/drivers you have.
Figure out what sound chip is on your computer then good that plus 20db keywords.

Benwah is correct. You should be able to go control panel > sound > recording, right click on the microphone > properties > levels. From there you can change the dB boost on the microphone to amplify it.
