Hi, I purchased a NP9130 not too long ago. Most games work wonderously with this thing. However, certain games do not...

For instance, Arma 2 Day z, which is based off a game that is 3 years old barely gives me 30 fps on medium settings which baffles me, considering the NP9130 uses a 670M.

Mostly free to play games like; Ghost Recon Online and Gotham City Imposters are the same story.

Lowest/medium settings and I barely get 30 fps...

On the other hand, Paid games or demanding games like Crysis 2 run just FINE or max graphics. What's the problem? This is really confusing me.

So basically, games that should be performing better as they are not very demanding perform poorly.
Games that are more demanding perform better.. This doesn't make any sense...

That is really strange. It may be that Optimus isn't switching to the GTX 670m for some games, so however it works, try to set the settings to use the 670m for Arma 2 and such in the Nvidia control panel. The GTX 670m is equivalent to an HD 4870, which is still a great card for gaming. Matched with an i5 or i7 Ivy Bridge, it is obvious some thing is wrong software/driver wise.
