Today I have received my M570RU with the 8800M-GTX. However when starting it up I saw it has a strange white border around the screen (around 5mm thick) during system check, vista loading screen and when for instance entering hibernate, just like there is a white frame around the screen.

The M570RU I had before (8700M-GT) did not have this white border.

I did notice that Megabud has a newer VBIOS installed (seen from his pictures), his is from december, mine from november.

NOTE: My new notebook contains the HDD with the Vista installation from the previous notebook (the one with the 8700M-GT), I did not want to install everything again. Seems to work fine...

    VBIOS date: 11/07/07
    VBIOS version: 62.92.19.00.A3

That is normal, it seems that the new 8800 chips, including the desktop version, display the white border while in VGA mode. However the border will disappear when you boot into Windows.

Well if all G92 chips have it, there shouldn't be a problem ;) thank you for the info!
