    M570RU Mobo Change

    Hey all,

    I was an early buyer for the M570RU, and I don't regret it at all. But relative to what they have nowadays, I feel it may have been better to wait it out 3 more months.

    I got a 2.2GHz C2D Santa Rosa and a 7950GTX. I know I could upgrade to Penryn and to an 8 series (possibly even 9 in the future), but I wouldn't be able to put my computer into "sleep" mode and I wouldn't have the extra fan for improved cooling.

    I'm wondering if anyone knows the price for doing such a change, just for the extra fan, and keep my 7950GTX until a 9 series comes out (or until the 7 series isn't sufficient and an upgrade is necessary)? Reason that I'm asking here is that I've already bothered RJTech with my simpleton questions far too long. So I'll bother you people now :D

    ive heared about this "sleep" mode issue before is that with all 8800M GTX or only older revisions 0-1 after they have been modified ?

    will a 2-3 enter sleep mode as intended with a 8800M GTX in vista

    The first revision that didn't have any problems was 4. Now there is a 5th revision, which also supports extreme CPUs.

    I don`t remember seing a 3rd fan anywhere.I think that`s just another vent.
