The M570RU uses an MXM-HE connector for it's video card. The card you have found will not work. Here is a list of cards we have sold in the past that work with your system...

Nvidia GeForce Go 7950GTX/8700GT/8800M GTX; QuadroFX1600

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks

I don't understand how half the people say they are all backwards compatible, and will work. While the other half can say they dont work. They really either work or they dont. It doesnt matter if clevo says they wont work or the manufacturer says they are not compatible just to protect themselves this laptop it like 4 years old. If you havent tried it your self dont tell people something doesnt work. But if you have tried it and it worked please explain. I understand that the asus ones and acer ones will not work or other special cards.

In theory this could work. The MXM standard IS backwards compatible between mxm 2.1 versions (M570RU = MXM 2.1 vIII HE / vIV, so vII should work). It is simply a case of if the BIOS will recognise the card, and as the M570RU was never sold with the 9650M GT, there's no way of knowing if noone else has tried yet...

So has anyone tried the 260M or higher in the m570RU? I'm sure one of the big notebook guys around here must have at least tried?

If your video cards have died, I really recommend you guys at least try the baking the video card in the oven trick first. Read how here.
