I'm planning on doing a custom trim color. Would this be done like any other cosmetic mod?

Keep in mind I chose the pictures for the COLORS they have, not the designs/objects they represent.

I think the bright blue like in picture would be the shiz, but is it worth voiding the warranty?
-
*shrugs* Probably not, but I'll go for anything if it looks awesome.

probably off-topic but why not spend 2xx-3xx more dollars for xotic to paint it w/e color you want? That way you can get the look you want and not void the warranty, ^_^.

Because it's $200-300 >_>

I'd definitely have it done by a reseller.
It's way too much of a gamble over the years to not have a warranty.
Anyway, I'm liking that mustang green a lot. -
I chose Blue like in picture.
You can get the best of both worlds if you choose to do color-shift paint job and use both green and blue. -
Hmm. How would I make that look the best? Make it phase in the middle?
Also, I figured I'm gonna wait three months until I start. I guess the first three months are when the most problems occur? -
Check out the showcase for some great examples of what other people have done to their notebooks. Anyway, the color-shift paintjob was done to the whole notebook, but I'm sure you could try it with the trim.
This is where the link was posted. It's the actual showcase thread.

This is the German site where the paintjob was pulled from.
