Will M570TU / M571TU (17") support quad core notebook processor when released. Planning to buy 9262 but if M570TU can support notebook processor I can happily go this M570TU.

What is the diff between M570TU and M571TU?

    help me clear my confusions?

Welcome to the NBR forums. :)

The M570TU with Montevina platform will probably have quad-core support.... but keep in mind you will paying near half the price of your entire notebook for one new mobile quad-core CPU.... around a whopping $1000 USD.

not really worth it IMO, unless if you got cash to burn. :)

The D901C, on the other hand, has a better price point with quad-core CPUs since its using desktop platform LGA775 CPUs.

570TU still doesn't have "official" mobile quad CPU support - by this I mean that you can't simply put one in the chassis and it'll work. I would suggest waiting until they are fully supported and then compare pricing (as mentioned above) with a 9262 (D901C) as the desktop quads are much better value for money. There aren't any mobile quads in the channel yet but will cost around the $1000 mark, all that's around at the moment are engineering samples which are illegal to sell to the public
