I was thinking. If you had a M570TU with 9800M GT and a P9500, would it have about the same battery life as a former M570RU with 8700M GT and T9300?
Since the 9800M GT has a 10 watts higher power usage than the 8700M GT, but the P9500 has a 10 watss lower power usage than the T9300, would the battery life be about the same? Or am I missing something?

The reason I ask this is because I would like to have measurable battery life (>2 hours), so I'm wondering if I should order a M570TU with 8700M GT to accomplish this.

Those to models should have comparable battery life, in that respect. But I don't think you'll get much more than 2 hours of battery life on the M570TU unless you have it on power save mode.

I had a 5793 and on battery in power saver mode with 4/7 screen brightness i got 1hour and 15 minutes of battery. However, i fiddled around with the voltages of the CPU used RM clock to get lower clocks when not needed, and then messed around with the video bios of the graphics card to lower clocks in 2d thrtle and lower voltages and ended up getting about 4 hours of battery.

@armagideontime: It's nearly the same as the 8800M GTX, so power consumption will be about the same as well
I was NOT talking about the 9800M GTX :p

    4 hours? WTF, that's a lot :D
