so where can i get a reader for my cousin's M570TU? not interested for the pricey writer ($500?). the only place that offers a reader as an option, and for a reasonable amount of money is kobalt in the UK.
i'm guessing its easy to swap out right

the optical drive is the easiest part in the laptop to swap out (not including battery), it's even in the user manual.

I recently bought a M570TU with the optional Blu-Ray drive and I wish that I did not because of the low maximum speeds. It burns DVD-R's at only 8x and CD-R at 16x. You are far better of with an external blu-ray reader or writer imho.

any slimline dvd writer will only burn at 8x, though mine writes cds at 24x

Really? I did not know this. That sucks. Anyway I have the Sony NEC Optiarc BC-5500S.
