    M570TU keyboard issues playing FIFA 09

    Does anyone here play FIFA 09 on his clevo-based notebook. I am having a strange issue on my M570TU and M570A notebooks with FIFA 08 and FIFA 09.

    When you play using your keyboard and run towards the upper or bottom right corner I am not able to give a pass or shoot the ball. It is as if you cannot for some reason press the up/down arrow in combination with the right arrow and at the same time press a 3rd key.

    FIFA is the only game I have where I can try this combination. Is there a tool I can use to test whether or not this is a FIFA issue or something with the clevo notebooks? On the FIFA 09 forums it seems that nobody has this issue.

    I have exactly the same problem as you and i havent found a solution...?!
    I have acer aspire 7730 and i just cant example move up+left and pass at the same time and shoot, even though i can do anything else.
    I also tried to change buttons but the same problem happens again, though it might be this time example right+up and cross and something else...
    strange...

    Have you found any solution to that yet..?
    Please inform me if so...

    Are you saying that pushing 3 buttons at the same time does not work? What about Ctrl+Alt+Del?

    They're saying that a specific set of 3 buttons doesn't work, which is quite normal on a keyboard without n-key rollover. Unfortunately it's just a flaw in the way most keyboards work.

    The keyboards are built in such a way as they can't register more than X amount of keypresses at one time. I saw this myself when I played a space sim game tonight. I couldn't get the laptop to register more than 2 or 3 keys (actions) being pressed at once.

    So no.. there really isn't a fix and it is a design flaw with keyboards in general.
    You could try buying a external keyboard, a joystick, or perhaps a gamer's keypad that has extra buttons.

    We call it ghosting. It is a normal with all keyboards without rollover and the only way to get around it is to learn how to play with it. Try changing up your key bindings or just try to be conscious about certain combinations when you play.

    Same with me here. I cant pass, shoot the ball and sprint when I control a player at the lower right of the field. Wat the is tis? Invested thousand of dollars but could not enjoy gaming at its most.

    Does the m860tu have the same problem? Doesn't sound too good..
    I'm still sitting on my Toshiba M70 and I played Fifa on it since 07, never noticed any problems with the keyboard during gameplay.

    Each keyboard model has different combinations that work and don't work. The Chicony keyboard on the M570TU just happens to have certain ghosting combinations that are used more frequently by gamers.

    So would there be a different brand other than Chicony that would be an improvement?
