My M570TU won't post anymore. It started after I turned it on for the first time last night and it froze up in Windows, after holding the power button for 4 seconds it won't boot anymore.

Power turns on for a few seconds then auto shuts off. Only the Power and wireless lights are on during this. I took the battery out overnight and it booted fine this morning but turned itself off again a minute later and is now doing the same thing again.

ANy ideas? It's only a year old.

when you plug the mains lead in does the light go green or orange?
try booting with the battery only to see if it does the same.

did you take out extra warranty or if its covered for 2 years get in contact with your supplier.

Try the power drain: unplug the power cord, remove the battery, press&hold the power button for 10-20sec, - see if it helps.

No combo of ac / battery fixes it.

When I plug ac in the power light is orange, it turns green when it powers on. The battery charges as well. I can also set the fans to high using Fn + 1 before it turns itself off. Also when I turn it on the dvd drive makes a few sounds before it turns off. I tried removing it but it didn't help.

Sadly I only had the 1 year warranty from Eurocom and it ended a few weeks ago. I expected a $3000 laptop to last at least a year.

Left the battery out overnight again and it's working for now. Stumped to what is causing it.
