    Hi

My Core2Duo runs with 1995 Mhz although it schould run with 2000 Mhz. This is not normal or ?? And the Bios is not very useful in this case ...

I think that it is a hardware error ... :-(

I hope someone has a suggestion what this can be .

1995MHz measured out of 2000MHz is quite normal. You could use another tester, like the Intel Frequency Tester, and it will show 2000MHz.

As paladin44 has mentioned, the clockspeed it okay. Its nothing to worry about. The clockspeed of a processor is calculated by multiplying the actual FSB by the multiplier. Your multiplier is 12, so the calculation is 166 x 12 = 1992. The figure is not the same, because the FSB (166), is actually, 166.6 recurring, so the new calculation is 166.6 (recurring) x 12 = 1999.99, which is rounded up to 2000 MHz. I hope this clears up the issue.

Right now I'm looking at my 3 different screens telling me my CPU is running at 1.66Ghz, 1.67Ghz and 1.68Ghz.

    Don't worry, it's normal ;)
