Is it possible to build a 2nd harddisk in a M570U? or isn't there any space left for it?

there is, you must use the optical drive bay for the 2nd HDD.

for that, you will need to get the optical bay HDD kit for the M570U

    its less than $30 usually

Just remember, its NOT hot swappable.

So you will have to power off the notebook if you want to switch from optical drive to HDD, and vice versa.

Why can't you hotswap and then after you put the drive in goto mycomputer device manager and select scan for plug and play changes. Gophn can't you do that?

for power circuits, hot swapping will cause damage and shorts

only type of HDD that can hot swapped is (e)SATA.

as well as the firewire & USB enclosed HDDs.
