I searched all over but couldn't find anything recent so I'm asking for help

I just upgraded my m570U to the 4 GB windows sees the 3GB is there a work around to allow it to see all 4 GB or am I just out of luck?

Either case no worries as I have another machine I can put the 2 GB chip in and swap back in the 1 GB for it so see the 3 GB

    TIA

    G

I believe in the m570u the chipset is limited to 4GB and any other required addressable areas are removed from that, leaving you with 3.xGB max addressable ram

I assume he actually means the m570u (old version).

The M570TU can accept 8GB minus any other space, so you'll see ~7GB

yup the M570U has the PM945 chipset
    - limited to first generation mobile Core 2 Duo's (65nm)
    - limited to ~3 gigs of DDR2 (even if you stick in 4gigs)
    - limited to previous generation Clevo videocard modules (tops out at 7950GTX)
    - can run 32-bit or 64-bit OS's fine.
