Does anybody know if the screen on the M570RU is going to be upgradeable from the WXGA (1280x800) to the WUXGA (1920x1200)?

Like all of the other 17" Clevo notebooks, the new models should have the following LCD options when the notebook is available for purchase:
    - WXGA+ (1440x900)
    - WSXGA+ (1680x1050)
    - WUXGA (1920x1200)

That model shown at the eletronics show wasx just a model the system isn't even available yet. Basically it was a prototype. In the end the WXGA+ will be the lowest option available on the M579RU.

sweet, i was thinking about this being my next notebook with santa rosa and a dx10 card but if it had such a low resolution i would have to pass. Glad to hear the good news, thanks.

I too am looking at this model as a prospective notebook for college use next year. Seems to be a winner, especially if it'll handle a DirectX 10 card.

it should use the 8800 if/when it becomes available, but they might start it out with the 7950GTX/8600 and then move up to the 8800

x2. The 8600 is a really bad card considering it is not way better than the previous generation 7600, unless they totally redesigned it for the mobile version.
