I get 48s on wPrime, it should be lower no?
CPUz reports my T7300 to be running at 1596.1MHz, why is that?

Its a process called ''Dynamic Switching'' it gives the CPU the power to lower clock speed during non intensive task & can bounce back up immediatly.

But I thought there was a way to disable this...
And I get 48s in wPrime... -
Ther is but it is of no use. To turn it off would give you a hotter Notebook.

Just check it again with CPU-Z while prime is running. You'll see it's at full core speed then. It's a good feature to have enabled... especially since your CPU is mostly idle unless gaming. And when you're gaming it will be running full-bore anyway.
