I have the same notebook and while I do not game, just FYI, the m570ru-u (Sager 5793) will take up to 8GB of ram. The chipset specs were later modified by Intel to allow for up to 8GB of ram so the 4GB limitation is incorrect.

While you could upgrade to the 9800m video card, the 8800m is a bit better overall, IMO.

I recently got my ru-u a while back and its still holding its own. Though I don't play any new games I play mostly older steam games like orangebox and CSS sometimes halo PC all maxed out on a lower resolution. Arkham Asylum runs perfectly fine on 1280x1024, it can run at a higher resolution but I want the more smooth experience. As far as the 8gb is there anything required to use it? Such as firmware or bios update or is it just standard on this motherboard. 4GB sticks are frigging expensive, I might look into that in the future. The only thing that I would be worried about is upgrading to a quad core, but then again I have no reason for one so who cares. You can upgrade it to a 9800m gtx so that isn't a big deal about the video card.

GOOd to see that our purchaces are still holding there own,is there a definatly a chance to use the 9800m gtx as other threads the info is that it can only take 9800m gt or gts ,If indeed i could use the 9800m gtx i would save my self about 1500 pounds

I still love my m571ru w/ 8800M gtx. Sadly though im getting rid of it in the following weeks and should be getting my new np 8662 tomorrow. My 8800 gtx still maxes out all games (except crysis) with great FPS. Overall it still is a great machine, and i bet it will max out games for another year or 2.
