I installed XP via eSata and everything (driver wise) is installed except
the ITM since XP can't utilize this. I have tried several ways but am unable to get the audio drivers installed. I tried from the CD and a Clevo download, while they both appear to install, a reboot reveals otherwise.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Zenica,

This might be too simplistic of a suggestion ... have you tried RJTech for the correct drivers!!!

Also try downloading your needed Drivers from this Site ... I am willing to bet the drivers will work from this site! Look for NP5796 ... located on Top Right Hand Corner.

Please post back with your result!

Thanks for the reply. RJTech is closed but if I don't have it working by tomorrow I will call them. So far, they have helped me when ever I had a question (To date, just twice). It had not occured to me to venture outside the Clevo site for a driver.

I am downloading this driver now. Thanks.

Well the Sager driver is the exact same as the Clevo driver.

I tried the RealTek driver and it is newer, but also no sound.

I can switch and boot back from Vista and sound is fine.

I am ruling out anything other than software because it works in Vista, does
    that make sense?

Is there a Fn+? key to turn the sound card on│off?

    Hi Zenica,

Q1: Just out of curiosity ... what version of XP and SP are you running!?!?

Q2: Did you buy the software from RJTech or you had your own OS?

Q3: What version of OS did you tell RJTech you want to use? Did they send you the Drivers CD?

    G! :)

XP Home & Vista Ultimate 64bit

I had my own OS. I bought OEM versions from Pricewatch

Q3: What version of OS did you tell RJTech you want to use? Did they send you the Drivers CD?

The CD contains both XP and Vista drivers

Well, the driver direct from RealTek worked when I uninstalled the old Clevo audio drivers, uninstalled the "PCI device" and rebooted.

    Sound works ok.

Something that was strange for the d901c you sold me zenica is that I had to install the sound driver twice in a row before rebooting to get them to work >.>.

Interesting but I fail to see the connection.

As I recall, the HDD was wiped before I sent it out so you installed everything yourself.
