    Hi guys,
i have the problem that my hdmi output doenst deliver a sound signal to my hdtv. i have anb m570tu

i use latest desktop driver + modded inf from laptopvideo2go.

i also tried the mobile driver from the nvidia page but i cant install them somehow it always tells me no supported hardware found but i do have an 9900m gtx so its very confusing.

If you use HDMI output on a TV pls tell me which driver you use when its working

    thank you very much

you need to enable this in the sound control panel. here's a load of related copypasta:

    hope that helps.

I am not sure If I will get this right. But here it goes.

First you should install the 179.48 drivers, if they don't work, just mod the .inf file. I assume you have the same video card as me, 0608 SUBSYS_04811558.

To get HDMI sound working, I think you also have to tell the laptop what sound system to use. That is go into playback devices and choose the one that represents the HDMI. I am not sure which one of them it is, I think it's the digital Audio Device.

You should first try by switching between the different Playback devices and if that doesn't work, try to install the 179.48 drivers and try again with the playback devices.

    To get the drivers installed:
go into the 179.48 drivers directory, where the driver is unpacked, go to Display Folder and search for the nvcv.inf . Edit the nvcv.inf, search for the fallowing line:

    %NVIDIA_G92.DEV_0617.2% = nv_G8x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0617&SUBSYS_04811558

and add a new line under it witch should be like this:

    %NVIDIA_G92.DEV_<YOURDEVICEID>% = nv_G8x, PCI\VEN_10DE&<YOURDEVICEID>&<YOURSUBSYSTEM>

    then search for this line:
    NVIDIA_G92.DEV_0617.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTX"
    and add a new line
    NVIDIA_G92.DEV_<yourdeviceId> = "NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTX"

You might also have to add your device id in ListDevices file under the nvcv.inf - but I am not sure if you need to do this as well.

I hope this helps in some way.

I found that a reboot is required for changes to take affect once I changed from speaker to digital output in the realtek control. Not sure about having both working at same time.
