I have got the M571TU laptop with 2.8 processor and 280M graphics card and running Win7.
I have been getting a sound stuttering problem. Sound stutters when im watching DVD's, youtube and while playing games.
The M571TU doesnt not seem to support Win7 so im using a lot of vista drivers, also i select 'other' in the bios on the operating system option.

I have been told that updating the bios might help cure the problem, but i cant find it anywhere, ive looked at the bios thread but the last talk on the bios for the M571TU was a year ago, is there anything more uptodate?

Thanks in advance for an help. The laptop is not overclocked.

I would if you thought it might help... but i dont know what that is! :)

    On a different topic...

I use my laptop on the mains all the time, would it be best if i took the battery out? Or does it not make any difference?

I noticed that graphics drivers are v. 257.15 in the above link, currently i have 197.16 WHQL that i downloaded from Nvidia a while back.

Are they the same driver or something completley different?

257.15 is the latest driver release, about 6 month ahead of 197.

From what i can see in the forums, this should solve your stutter issue in combination with the latest realtek driver

That seems to have done the trick.
To conclude it seems that drivers 197.16 were at fault (or uncompatable with my system)
The previous drivers to 197.16 did not show the stutter.

Thanks for all the help. Its nice to have things running smoothly again :)
