Recently I asked Eurocom if the M571RU ships with gigabit LAN. I know the Clevo site says that gigabit is included but I just wanted to verify. I got a response saying "We do ship Gigabyte cards now, and the cost is $95."

Can anyone confirm if theirs came standard with gigabit LAN or if you had to specify and pay extra?

One thing to check with Eurocom is if they meant the COMPANY Gigabyte (they manufacture wireless LAN cards). The ethernet adapter is not interchangeable, and it IS 10/100/1000 in the M571RU.

Yes, it looks like Eurocom misunderstood your question. You are wondering about the ethernet speed while they are saying they sell Gigabyte (wireless) cards.

For cell phones people do use bluetooth. But 100$ for the Intel card? That's 50 more than almost everywhere.

The eurocome base model is really really cheap. If it still is when I order mine next month I will probably buy their base model and just pick up things like the mini PCI wireless card from Ebay. Their upgrades are more than everyone else for sure, but their base model is much cheaper.
