    I ordered a Samsung LN32A650 for my office, and I plan to use it as a monitor with my M570RU. It will also be used as an HDTV.

    The TV has no DVI inputs but 3 HDMI inputs. Should I purchase a DVI to HDMI cable? Pacific cable has them for pretty cheap. I'm just not sure if that will work. I'm assuming there will be some way to connect my notebook to the TV. I also have DVI-HDMI converters, but I haven't had much success with those when trying to connect a DVI cable box to an HDMI input. I suspect HDCP problems.

    A DVI>HDMI cable will work just fine. They both send the same digital signal except that HDMI also sends a digital audio signal. I don't see the huge deal about HDMI having audio as well because most people with this expensive equipment will use a surround system with a receiver for audio anyways... so the digital plug on the front takes care of that!

    Yep, a DVI to HDMI will work just as well.

    So if some one uses a DVI to HDMI converter,is another cable for audio still needed?

    Well, for the application in this thread, it won't matter. He's running out from the computer's DVI (which doesn't carry audio anyway), and into the monitor's HDMI. He'll still have to get audio from somewhere else.

    Can't wait to set everything up! Might have to bring the PS3 up to the office (if I can find a cheap blu-ray player for the home theater) and barricade myself in. :)

    I say a Logitech Z-2300 (2.1, THX, 120W sub, 80W Front{40x2}) speaker set will complement that gorgeous display very well... who wants audio out of a TV (HDMI connection) anyways?

    @RAMBO:

    Yes, DVI doesn't send audio, so if a DVI>HDMI is used you must still get audio out of the M57RU's audio jacks (or on-board speakers), but like I said... who wants audio out of a TV anyways when you could get a nice 2.1 external set such as ^^^^, or a rockin surround sound system? Regardless of no HDMI, the M57RU still has a digital audio jack...
