I ran a search for Hypermemory in this forum section but couldn't find anything.
My Clevo's X1600 appears to be one of those hypermemory efforts. The on-board 128MB is perfectly good enough for me, I'm not exactly a power-user, but I'd like to know how to change the hypermemory settings.
I've checked the system BIOS and there's nothing I can find even under "advanced chipset features". I checked CCC but found nothing so far. I've also looked in powerstrip which claims my memory card has 630MB system memory available but I can't find a way to change the allocation.
Any ideas?
Thanks

On older ATI cards (9100 IGP!) I recall that the frame buffer could be adjusted by going (XP):
Right-click desktop> Properties > Display settings > Advanced Settings
Then a series of tabbed option panels for ATI settings would come up.
This may be obvious info to you, I just thought I'd throw it out there. Have you tried the similar advanced settings in Vista? -

Thanks for the reply Bog!
I am running XP.
I've tried that, there's nothing in there apart from a tab to open Catalyst Control Centre which I've already looked in.
Also I am running the latest mobility Radeon Drivers from ATi.
Windows reports the card as being 512MB but gpu-z claims 128MB which I presume is the on-board, the other 384MB being hypermemory. It's not taking that 384MB though as windows would report my system memory as 1.67GB or something but it's reporting 2.0GB. -
Hmm, if its not there then I'm not sure whether it is an option at all; otherwise I just don't know where it is.

There must be an option somewhere, unless it's dynamic? If there weren't the hypermemory would be entirely pointless.

Hypermemory is dynamic; of that I am certain, but perhaps it could still be manually set by the user.

I thought nVidia turbocache was dynamic but Hypermemory was not?

Link!
Confirms that HM is dynamic. I've never heard of Nvidia users trying to set their TurboCache to a set value, though. Maybe it isn't user controllable at all. -

That explains everything!
Thanks for your help Bog! +rep!
