I recently picked up an un-assembled barebones M860ETU from RJTech. I have everything put together. However, when I hit the power button...it goes blue for anywhere from 1 second to 3 seconds...I hear the CD drive make a little noise, then the power goes off. Nothing comes up on the screen.
I pulled the battery out, put it back in...opened everything up and made sure everything was seated correctly, but it's still powering back down and I'm not getting anything on the screen. I might have missed something obscure that I didn't realize I had to connect or something. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Sounds like what happens when you don't install the CPU correctly. Did you turn the lock(or however it's called) after fitting it into the socket?
-
Was the AC adapter plugged in when you tried to cut it on?
Did you reconnect the fan cable? -

I've also got it from RJ Tech.
So when I've put it all together it's started for 1-2 secs and shuting down.
I've ask the support immedeatly, and they like already knew the answer, because, looks like, it's first mistake of almost all people =)
The answer was "Do you locked the CPU with locker above the CPU?"...
And I was like, omg, so old with IT and such a lame =) -
I opened it all back up and re-checked. The CPU is locked, the fan is connected, and I'm still getting the power button to light up...I hear the CD/DVD drive make some noise...two very faint beeps (head is up against the keyboard)...then about a second or two until the power cuts. The AC adapter is plugged in. Same thing happens when it's not plugged in.

I figured it out. CPU lock wasn't completely turned. Had to wiggle it around a bit. Thanks for the help!

Make sure you use the proper size bit to turn the lock. A 4mm slot head will do.

I made the same mistake with my barebones. The facepalm had me in a coma for weeks.
