I'm looking at the service manual but I can't see anything named as such.

My mobo fried (did a BIOS upgrade, which was apparently successful but it refused to POST after that) and since I got it back after the swap, the speakers don't work, I'd like to figure out if its a physical connector problem.

Anyone know what Its named in the service manual?

IN case you were wondering, the new mobo came with .13/.11 bios, IIRC. I haven't even thought about updating it since my last experience.

    Hi and welcome to nbr.
the user manuals are easy to come by but the service manuals are not as easy. Gophn did post it over a year ago but i have no idea what post it was in.
you might be in luck and someone else will find it.

Using the service manual (in my sig - though you say you already have it anyway) follow the steps to remove the modem, then when you have the palmrest lifted (final part), you will be able to see the underside of the speakers, follow the wires.
