I mean honestly this is not the most uber smart thing they could have done - or is it?

So we know how hot the right palmrest gets right? Well has anybody seen the little mike hole hidden right below the "Alt" key on the right palm area? Apparently that little hole is a microphone.

What were they thinking? "Gee - nobody is going to put their hand down on that palmrest anyway so it's ok to put the mic there."

I mean honestly guys. That's just plain idiotic.

    ROFLMAO... I agree.

But yeah, I think that mics should always be placed either at the top of the screen by the webcam or below the screen (but still on the lid)...

    Just my $0.02. :)

I mean come on - the the palm completely covers it up when you are typing (if you aren't being ergonomical) and even if you are and have your palms elevated it dampens the soundwaves going to the mic because they have to pass near/around your hand!
