    M860TU Burn/Brown mark

    I've just noticed a small mark over the right palmrest. The mark is pretty small (about the size of a £1 coin) and is located about 1inch from the arrow keys.

    The mark doesn't seem to budge using a dry cloth + damp cloth.
    Has anybody else come across this problem with their M860TU?

    thats a new one on me. if possible could you take a picture of it for us.
    have you got the 2 stickers, srs wow & Nvidia below the right arrow key.

    when i first took mine out of the box i thought i had a scratch to the right of the space bar until i noticed it was the mic :eek: :eek:

    I removed the stickers when I first got the laptop in November.
    Can't get a picture right now.

    I haven't got any those marks. Definately show us a picture of it so we can determine what it is and may be able to find a cleaning solution for it. You didn't by chance eat any brownies while you were gaming were you? The right side does get a little warm the chocolate left overs on your palm could have been cooked on your laptop. :D

    I have tried to get a picture of the mark using my camera phone, but to no avail.
    The mark appears white in some light, and brown when the light is directly on it.

    Oh, and it's definitely not brownies :p

    u sure its not just sweat buildup thats be heated and cooled alot... . i kind of have the same thing on both sides.. more lack of cleaning than any thing els :p

    When I'm at home, I clean the notebook regularly.
    I doubt it would be sweat, as I never have my hand near the arrow keys (I use WASD).

    Anybody got any tips for cleaning it?
