ok im ordering a M860TU from xoticpc and i was wondering if the size of the HDD makes a difference if the speed is the same?
Example. plz order this Hdd in order of highest to lowest heat consumption.
    320GB 5400RPM (Serial-ATA II 300 - 8MB Cache)
    320GB 7200RPM (Serial-ATA II 300 - 16MB Cache)
    500GB 5400RPM (Serial-ATA II 300 - 8MB Cache)
and will 5400RPM to 7200RPM make a big speed difference?

there is not a huge difference in speed from a new 5400rpm drive to a 7200 rpm drive... IMO not enough to warranty the price differences.

it does not affect the performance... only load times.

I would think that both the 5400rpm drives would have similar temps... especially if they are from the same manufacturer.

320 gb 7200 rpm should be the hottest. maybe you should order smallest hdd possible and buy a western digital after u get laptop.
