It seems that unlike my previous April fools thread, the pricing is released by eurocom! hjj_12293 found the pricing right here http://web.eurocom.com/ec/ec_pricelist(1,196) and seems to imply that its initially released as a SR notebook with penryn, and the prices are appetizing![]()
-
does not work....
-
Oh, just add a ) at the end, u copied it wrong.
Thx for the find!
EDIT: AMAZING PRICING!!!!!!!!! -
the last parenthesis wasn't included in url
Should work now...
-
For 2250:
8800m
T9300
WUXGA
should be less if you chose a less res screen.
-
Does it have a 256bit interface?
Very impressive. -
The FX 1600 has 128 bit
But the 8800m, which according to the pricing is 50 dolars less, is 256bit and is the best mobile GPU to date. Did i mention its 1K less than AW? -
very nice pricing. Still 1k less than AW is insane.
-
Will Montevina support T9300? I doubt that.....
-
they may have a mobo replacement to support the montevina
-
holly.......
imagine watching 1080p movies on this little monster -
With Santa Rosa, the m860tu release date of may 1 2008 seems more and more real
-
i got confused. on one page it said "Shipping Date: May 1, 2008", on spec. page it said "Launch Date May 1, 2008".
which one is it? -
auburncoast Notebook Deity NBR Reviewer
hmm.. little dissappointed in the price... although I shouldn't be. I want to see it with the montevina though. Should be a nice machine! Especially if it works with 9xxxGTX without new mobo
-
Dissapointed? Why? Its cheaper than an m57ru with similair specs...
-
Why does the quadro cost more than the 8800m?
-
thats prob all info passed on from clevo.. so yer i would take it as fact that it does right?.
nice unit... really interested in what battery life will be like and what color trims it will have.. Also from the pics so far it looks very thick on the underside... i hope for some nice overclocking potential. ^_^
i think if i hold out till GTA4 comes out ill be able to last till this one hits my aus shores .. and not be tempted by any curent 8800m ... humm i wonder how close 9800m is... the 9900 desktop cards are due soon. GT200 core ^_^ -

I Shouldn't complain, this is eurocom pricing too... we should probably see a cheaper price at say xotic or power? I'd also like to know the colour trim and battery life. HK lets go stealth and sneak into the clevo labs and find out whats going down there. Then we can post it on here and be heros!
-
OK, PM me the link
-

lol i was tempted to post that april fools link again... but it'd be old and unkind. So I'll keep it on track now...
-
how come eurocom got those all those information but not xotic or powernotebook?
-
Xotic an Powernb are resellers, they cannot release the info till sager has done so.
-
how about eurocom? they are not re-seller?
-
No, they are not. They are an ODM, like Sager
-
If i rememer right there will be 2 colors for M86XTU series.
-
WHere did you hear this
-
thank you for answering my questions hkman, if xotic pc end up offering even lower price, i will flip myself times 10^100
i think m860tu has reached the same performance/buck ratio with gateway p-6831fx -

haha at nirvana. I'll be there counting and then I'll join in too. And yes, where did anyone hear of 2 colour variations?
-
Bo@LynboTech Company Representative
lol there are alienware customers that are STILL being delayed, by the time they get their machines they could have got a cheaper , same spec machine from clevo..............wonder if there is a link here........between the two that is
-
I would hold my horsies till the M860TU is actually out and been reviewed by people..... problems like the heating issue with the m15x could show only later(not that i expect Clevo to have such a problem)....
But yea i would 100% agree with :
-
-
btw their renewed the page, added HDD and OS options. ps. 4GB Ram add $360??? -
maybe
it is ddr3 1066 memory, which is reare for notbooks at the moment if i am not mistaken -
You can get 4 gb of ram from newegg for about 90ish bucks. Screw ddr3 now,it`s too expensive.Upgrade later.
-
Changing the currency to USD:
2045 USD for an 8800m GTX, T9300, a 160GB 7200RPM HDD, and 2 gigs of DDR3 RAM
If XoticPC can beat that, I will cry nerdy tears of joy. -
I think they`re still working on the prices. But man, those are some freakin` good looking specs for about 2k. WOW , even lower than the 5793. I`m stoked.
-
Hmm, what should be considered when choosing between the 250GB 5,400 and the 200GB 7,200?
Right now I have a 4,200. I have never experienced those speeds. -
i dont get you guys....
Alienware (m15x) -
screen:1920-1200 HD (1440-900 HD = -300$)
RAM:2 GB DDR2
GFX: 8800MGTX
HDD: 160 7200
OS: Vista Premium
with Wireless
= 2774 $
Eurocom (m860tu) -
1920-1200 HD (if i could, i would have chosen less)
RAM: 2 GB Ram DDR3 (but who wants it?)
GFX: 8800MGTX
HDD: 1600 7200
OS: Vista Ultimate (no Premium option)
with Wireless
finger print reader integrated (WTF?)
= 2490 $.
now you tell me, how can it be 1K cheaper than an AW?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? -
the cpu of m9750 is 2 gen older plus they charge 8.75% tax which is $2773+242=$3015, not mentioning M860TU has DDR 3 RAM as well.
the "1K cheaper" statement was referring to m15x, not m9750, its unfair to compare 15.4" and 17"
most importantly, mobility is priceless -
the AW is m15x.... duh.... and the prices are after tax.
check for urslef: http://www.alienware.com/Configurat...Code=PC-LT-AREA51M15X-AI1&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT -
@Avishee, are you sure? i config. the system you posted, came up with $2924 + tax. I am pretty sure you wrote m9750, maybe I am wrong. but yea the same spec of m15x came up with total $3223.07 shipped.

I hope sager puts this one out with more options then eurocom has so far come up with. I've been a little dissappointed in what its coming out as right now... I think I imagined a super computer or something... stupid imagination.
-
What amazes me is how many believers are on this forum right now. Eurocom put a price there and we should all take it for granted. Wait until you can actually configure one.
And no, it will not be launched with Santa Rosa. Why would you want that? It's totally useless. Montevina is the right platform. -
may b you dont use USD?
i dont know, anyway, the page wont lie - the cost of the config, without shipping and stuff, is some 300$ apart, where with Eurocom you get far more things that you dont really need... -
-
no other processor is available from Intel to better the Penryn atm, the only new release is the Atom and that's really for the micro pc.
-
It may bot be 1 k , but it`s a lot. And if there won`t be downclocking and overheating issues, then it`s got my vote. The AW is a fancy gizmo that does half the job right.
The M860TU is an unknown factor so stop posting as if Eurocom had the "future card" in their hands.
