    M860TU Shortcut buttons

    Is there a way to change the Internet and Mail shortcut buttons on the np8660??

    im sure i saw a post about this ages ago and sadly i think the answer was no they cant be changed.

    Can't be changed as far as I'm concerned. You could try changing the default application in start menu or in control panel but it didn't work for me.

    I haven't found a proper way of doing it but after seeing this thread I came up with a quick (but not very good) way to do it. Now the web button brings up RMClock, see below:

    I changed my default internet browser to IE (I use Firefox) as the Web shortcut button calls the default browser. I then made a backup of the Internet Explorer folder and renamed the RMClock folder to Internet Explorer and changed RMClock.exe to iexplorer.exe.

    This of course is an inelegant way of solving it and also will cause problems if you attempt to open any html documents. If you are looking to change the buttons to open a different browser then simply change your default browser.

    I'll take a closer look at how Hotkey calls the default program but it seems it would take a bit of editing to get it to call a custom program instead of a windows default.
