    Hi,
My brother recently bought an M860tu from Overclockers.co.uk, The customer service was excellent.
However, no whenever he installs something and reboots, the following error occurs.
    /Boot/BCD

    0xc000000f

Error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.

We can then put the recovery CD in, boot from that and repair windows, then it boots up fine, until another program is installed.

I think that it could possibly be a corrupted hardrive, but is the only option to reformat the computer?

    Thanks
