Hello all,
In which place can i get it?
Thanks
-
Have you read the Clevo Guide?
I also keep the Clevo wiki updated with vendors:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clevo -
+1 for www.xoticpc.com
-
+1 for PCMW www.pcmicroworks.com, you are sure to get a good, stable and properly tested m860tu. And they treat you well.
-
+1 for (*insert the reseller from which I purchased my M860TU*)
-
Performance: www.Pcmicroworks.com
Price: www.Xoticpc.com -
Price: xoticpc, powernotebooks, eurocom (pricematch or buy in CND), lynnbay (pricematch), sagernotebooks (pricematch), prostar (pricematch), rjtech (pricematch), DSS. -
^^^ I would check killernotebooks specs but their site is down right now so I'll check later.
I don't know if they still have the 9800M GT like Pcmicroworks claims. -
It would do you well to get a m860tu with a GT card, anything less is just robbing yourself.
-
Not really Deathwinger.
For your same system but with GTS and 1066 RAM, its about 2,000.
What'd you pay for yours? Like 2,400?
(Not including Blu-ray and Turbo Mem) -
Excellent service: Powernotebooks and XoticPC
-
-
^^ Yeah, I do agree the GT will be more "future proof" but its hard to find for a good price now.
And did you get your specs like that all from the place you bought it when you configured it or did you do some of your own upgrades? -
All from PCMW, they compensated in cases where the EDGE was delayed and they also price matched when xoticpc came with lower advertised prices.
-
Is it still possible to get it for that price?
Without the Blu-ray and Turbo, how much would they sell it for?
You have the specs I'm looking for but can't go over 2,050 with shipping :| -
Don't know. I don't think a deal like I got would be available anymore. However, I can guarantee if you call them up and ask them to price match or negotiate something can be arranged. Also, you'll be getting a fully tested and approved m860tu.
-
Alright I'll look into it.
Do you think they still have the GT?
Only reason I'm interested. -
Eurocom also has it. -
P9500
9800GT
160GB 7200RPM HDD
2GB (1x2) RAM
64-bit Vista Premium
Intel 5300 wi-fi
FedEx Ground (1-5 days)
Total: $2047
No webcam ($43), bluetooth ($74) included though. -
Thanks kevin.
Only problem is the harddrive, need 320GB.
Also where is eurocoms base?
Im in U.S -
You can contact Pro-Star and their resellers as well (like Lynnbay)
-
For even lower prices, configure the model you want in CND. Due to exchange rate differences, you pay less if you pay in CND. A 200 GB 7200 RPM costs $5 more than the 160, so go for that. -
When I put the credit card number and everything in it'll just go as U.S?
Thanks.
Also if its 2,138(how much it is with the specs i'd like to have) in USD. How much would it be if i configured in CDN? (aka how much USD would i be paying?) Thanks.
EDIT: It comes to 2488CAD. How much U.S dollars is that? -
-
You said the bank will... But I'm paying with a credit card..
Explain?
EDIT: You mean the credit card bank?
So in other words. All I have to do is fill out all the information on the checkout page for the 2488CAD. Put shipping/billing address and credit card number in.
And it'll just take 2023USD off the credit card without me having to do a thing?
Its that easy? (Never worked with other currencies) -
Basically, yes.
The exchange should be around 2023, assuming of course that your bank uses the particular rate I checked out. You may also wish to speak to John Shore at Eurocom. He's been rather helpful.
Note: I haven't bought from Eurocom yet, but they are the only retailer I've found that offers trade ins, hence my interest.
I should have bought my configuration when USD was 75 cents to the CND dollar, would have saved over 100 USD.
Note, the CND has been inching up all day. Right now 2488 CND is worth 2027 USD. -
Well I'll be ordering in Dec.
So we'll see how the transfer is then. -
Be aware though, that you can't guarantee the canadian to US rates in December.
But cool man, glad you are getting the machine. I love it. Gives no trouble once you get a fully tested unit. -
you know there is someone here that is selling his np8660 for 1699$ i think, its with a 9800GT.
-
Check the buy/sell forum for that, but last I heard, he got it sold and the money is going towards the Whitebook.
-
There's another user selling off his M860TU. -
How's Eurocom? Do they fully test the unit like your saying? -
I beleive so. I've only heard good things about the units from Eurocom. So you should be covered.
-
Now to wait till Dec >.< -
Dang, Xoticpc just dropped their price 300dollars.
Makes me wanna go through them and get the T9600 + 9800M GTS combo for like 1,850USD.
So much cheaper than the P9500 + 9800M GT on Eurocom.
You guys think the GT is even worth like $250 more?
I don't. What do you guys think though?
EDIT:
Its more than $250 more.
Same exact specs (eurocom having GT, Xoticpc having GTS):
2,270.72 USD (Eurocom, Even with the CAD to USD trick for cheaper price)
1,903.50 USD. (Xoticpc.com)
Thats $367 more for the GT...
Definitely go with Xoticpc right? Not worth it for the GT? -
The XoticPC price is insane! T9600 + 4GB of ram for under $2k. That's definitely who to go with. Eurocom's premium on the GT is ridiculous, but it probably has to do with the card being discontinued and so limited in numbers.
-
With the price drop, that definitely brings Xoticpc into the running. Looks like Sager and its resellers as a whole dropped prices for Xmas.
-
You can take your risk with XoticPc. But remember, with the high volume of orders they'll be taking with the price decrease, you won't be guaranteed any quality control as Sager has proven in the past. Furthermore, XoticPC never gets the machine to check out themselves, they just provide labour afterwards and sometimes only in certain cases. So, it's a gamble either way.

^As with any brand you purchase on the market there can be the chance of failure upon arrival. To say Sager doesn't QA their machines or you are not guaranteed any quality control is a little ill-advised.
-
Hey Justin,
Where did this price drop come from, and is it just a limited time offer? -
Darn...$400...I never buy something at the right moment.
-
well **** lol but oh well at least with my specs from eurocom I still save ~200$
F*** canadian $ -
Do you think EUROCOM will match the price?

Justin, are they updating the 8660 for quads with a new MOBO like they did the 57xx series ?. Thanks
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
^Not that I am aware of
-
Thanks for the quick reply . im torn between the OCZ and 8660 atm but would have hated to buy something thats outdated before it even ships.
-
-
Quad support would meet my needs better
if im going to plunk my hard earned money down on something it may as well be the latest and greatest .
The sudden price drops had me abit concerned that a new revision is coming, which it still may be, he just has not heard anything or is under NDA till they officially announce it . -
Now only if I could find that thread again..
Although when I searched the model number when I read it I put it into google and the only resaults was that thread... So who knows.
