In general I respect and agree with what you are saying and agree you have to be careful. No problems there... The problem I had trouble with was -
"To me this looks like Eurocom is just looking for attention . . . I wouldn't take any of the info on their site as concrete as some of it is already wrong. I'll wait until the machine is actually for sale from Sager and authorized Sager resellers . . ."
I am not looking to make a big deal about it but I am 100% sure that if it were Sager or XOTIC and not Eurocom being referred to then stuff like this would not be published.
Thanks for your responds and great work on the board!

Sager has shown that they are extremely cautious about Clevo official words... I guess that is why people use them as a benchmark for Clevo announcements.... even if everyone is pressuring them to give a statement.
They are definitely known to not make any promises that they could not confirm... and I would not expect them to.
As for me... an bystander... I just like knowing all info, new, confirmed, unconfirmed...
So thanks for Eurocom to release their information. -

Found this on fudzilla today. Talks about the next extreme processor. Hopefully the new processors they release will fit and just down clock to 800 fsb.

X9100 is the name
The top-end Intel mobile CPU to launch in June will rock at 3.06GHz. This will be the fastest dual-core for mobile platforms and it will fit in Montevina platforms. The X9100 CPU likes and works with FSB 1066 and has 6MB of L2 cache. It is, of course, based on 45nm Penryn dual-core processors and it looks pretty much the same as currently available Wolfdale 45nm dual-cores.
Intel promises 44W Thermal Design Power (TDP) and the 35x35mm CPU fits in socket P. The full name of the CPU is Core 2 Extreme X9100, and with 3.06GHz it definitely is the fastest dual-core for notebooks. Some crazy notebook manufacturers might even overclock it further, but 3GHz is quite enough for notebooks.
The CPU launches on June 3rd, together with many others and with Montevina, aka Centrino 2 platform. -
The new AW m17x will allow OC X9100 to 3.6G, and with 9800MGTX SLI 3dMark06 over 20K is possible.

The original release date for the Chipset was 1 May. This was the release date we put on our website. INTEL then changed the release date to 1 June, so we had to change our release date to June. Do you really think what you just wrote makes any sense at all?? If we wanted your money we would have told you the M860 was a long way off and would get you to buy a M570RU right away. Perhaps you are living in a state of induced Nirvana. All of this release date information was clearly published on this site and 1000 other sites. Not a state secret if you choose to be informed. I'll have some of what you are smoking!

2. If the chipset is released on May 1st, is it realistic to tell customers that the laptop based on that chipset will be shipped out during the 2nd week of may? I think not. -
Those email responses I got from you guys were around 10th April, plus or minus few days. By that time we all knew the Montevina will be release on 1st June, but what I heard from you guys was that m860tu will be shipping out starting the second week of May. I will try to find those emails to prove this if I haven't trashed them already.

Guys,
Please be patience. There is no need for this bickering...
FYI, do thorough research on the company before deciding to do business them. Resellerrating.com, bbb.org, a good ole google search, or even calling them are great ways of doing research. -
Unfortunately at this time there is no reason to believe that there will be an option in the BIOS to unlock the multiplier in the m17x.

I think he was kidding

no, someone already got a sample with x9100ES and 9800MGTX SLI. So maybe the BIOS should also be engineering release.
-
Any words yet on the M570TU? HDMI, eSATA...sweet!
-
-
Yeah....google search led me nowhere
-
It´s nowhere. A friend of mine got that and didn´t post it....
-
Holy crap! This computer has the ability to take 8 GB of memory. That's more than the G5 Mac's at school....wow, I will get the 2GB and FOR SURE, upgrade to that later on! WHOOHOOO!
-
It's a beautiful looking laptop at it's base specs+ wifi and small things. Once you start looking at the quad core and 8gb of ram it quickly becomes, Hello Visa? I need a new CC thanks.
-
It will roughly cost 4 times more than the equivallent desktop with a 22 inch lcd.
Not that much of a trade off if you ask me.
I swear, laptop parts should get cheaper,we`re not Bill Gates you know...
