Your laptop will ship straight to you from Sager. All the resellers do is simply give them your order. Are you sure you didn't misunderstand them in that the laptops are "shipping" to Sager today?

 

Who is your reseller friend, and in what part of the world are you located?

 

Its not necessarily coming from sager...its a clevo, sager is only one of many clevo resellers. It could be from any clevo reseller.

Whoa, Lynnbay is ~$150 cheaper than most, with free shipping and accidental damage coverage.... hmm.

 

Lynnbay isnt a sager reseller so all you sager people are still waiting

 

Hmm, I think you are not configuring them identically, because they are not ~$150 cheaper...for most they are more, which maybe covers the free shipping (shipping is never free...just ask UPS or FedEx).

Also, we recommend that you never buy accidental damage coverage from a computer seller because it does not cover THEFT!

An accidental damage warranty from a laptop company does not have theft coverage. The ADP policy at www.safeware.com is underwritten by an AM Best “A” rated insurance company, covers theft, and can be purchased annually.

 

Um... ****it. I probably wasted money for the LCD accidental damage warranty then, huh?

Sorry, but this is not true. Sager and Pro-Star get theirs from Clevo at the same time (even on the same pallet) so Pro-Star will never ship before Sager does. It will be either the same day, or if anything, Pro-Star will begin shipping a day or so later than Sager.

Sager will begin shipping the NP8660 tomorrow.

I hate to disappoint Chunghwa, but the Pro-Star M860TU from Lynnbay will not ship from Pro-Star before tomorrow.

But hey...what's a couple of days one way or the other among friends

 

Lynnbay must've caught the error, because earlier today the base config was coming up to something like ~$1640.00, and now it's $1793.03. I figured something was amiss, because the main page said "starts at 1793.03", but when I clicked customize, the price was well below $1700.00. So after this adjustment, Lynnbay is indeed more expensive, but they do still include shipping + accidental in this price, two things that don't matter to me.

Eh, now I'm not so excited about going with an unknown reseller.

Sager is shipping a bunch today so those who pre-ordered early should watch their email tonight for tracking numbers.

Now, Deathwinger, when did you say yours was going to ship? Wasn't PCMW going to be the first in the world to ship them? I really hate to do this, but maybe it will show you that being childish about this isn't really attractive. I just wonder how many more weeks you are going to have to wait for yours. Haha, oh well crap. I gave up on getting it first ever since I knew it would have to go through 2 couriers before I got it.

What I am happy about is that I am getting a system for $500 less than other companies can ever offer

Also, unlike other companies, my reseller is shipping my laptop to me with the standard DVD RW drive whilst they wait for the Blu Ray drives to come in and then shipping the Blu Ray to me 2 day shipping for free.

I guess if I did go with another companies, I would be waiting this excruciating time of a few weeks you speak of.

Anywayz, no hard feelings, my friend still plans to buy from powernotebooks, he likes your offerings. I am glad however, that you admitted you were wrong.

Mine will come with it, I don't think I need a spare but you can try to sell your DVD RW on ebay see if anyone interested... or maybe contact sager, see if they want to buy it back so they can use it for repairing other people's laptop.
