Which questions should I be asking myself as I decide which Clevo laptop to get, between the M860TU and the M570TU?

why eurocom? Other resellers like xoticpc and powernotebooks are not only less expensive, but more reliable.

Stop answering questions with other questions that don't have anything to do with what he asked

And... It's simple. Do you need portability? If you do, get the M860TU. Is the M570TU too expensive? get the M860TU. Do you want what is most powerful? Get the M570TU.

    ...what?

M860TU is the 15.4" one. "Do you need portability? If not, get the M860TU"? This implies that M570TU is more portable than the M860TU... since we're comparing the 2. M860TU is easily portable (though it's a bit heavier than average 15") for it being smaller and DEFINITELY more portable than the 17" M570TU.

In any case, with the given information (none, by the way), only thing I can tell you is 15.4" vs 17".

    ...and the video card -

    GTX260m vs GTX280m-

The M570TU comes equipped with the 280- Although you can outfit the M860TU with the 280 on your own (I have not seen a config offered with the 280).

The biggest factor for me was the 15.4 enclosure- Although people here say the M570TU is on the small side of the 17" laptops, which is a good thing.

M570TU is still fairly portable, definitely not as chunky as the D900F, NP9850, M17x, etc. It has about a pound, pound and a half on the M860TU. But it has dedicated CPU/GPU cooling, fits a QX9300 and 280M nicely, and you can overclock the CPU. An M860TU with the same config as mine would struggle from thermal instability.

But this is your willing to do it, can be more or less cured or aided by undervolting.. Maybe not with the 280m and QX9300 combination but maybe with let's say, a T9900 and 280m.

Have to remember though, your average user won't be getting both the QX9300 and 280m unless they intend to do gaming or use it for work.. Really nothing this good is need for lets say, college. :)

However in your signature your swapping your Sager for a Mac? Any reason? Personal choice or issues with the laptop?

The 17'' will be great right up until you decide to go some where with your laptop along with all of the other equipment and gadgets you end up taking with you.

I have found that I am really glad that I didn't go for a 17''.

the laptop has been solid, no regrets

    never asked to price match

usd was way to high to begin with

I chose to spend my money in Canada, not the US
