Hey i have the P8600 2.4 duel in my M860tu and im hunting for info about expected overclocks i could get with it..

seems this perticular processor is not as popular as the higher cache ones and i havent run across any one having a fiddle with what they can get out of it.

    Any one have any tips/expectations/advice

    not sure where to start.

i would 'like" to get 2.8-3gigs out of it. if possible... temps are 65-70 at max load
I use this laptop for alot of modeling/image work so being high load stable is rather important but i dont mind only cranking it up for gaming..

I remember hearing something getting it up to 2.8 Ghz. Or that could have been the p9500. Any way you put it, the overclock makes the system work just a tad bit faster in modelling/image work. Of course, that could be exactly what you're looking for.

Have you tried out SetFSB to see if you could overclock using that?
