Just wondering if anyone knows if Malibal has any coupons or offers right now since I'm looking to buy a P-150EM at the moment.

I am going to be purchasing soon

I am looking to purchase Malibal's P151EM as well, but information on what brand/model the DDR3 and HDD offered are would be much appreciated. I note that this is similarly unspecified across many who build systems on this Clevo model.
Additionally, are there absolutely no msata options available through Malibal (asking the chassis supports it, but none are offered in customization options)? -
My question is if Malibal will be upgrading everyone that orders to the Ivy Bridge CPUs or do we have to wait?
-
The Ivy Bridge CPUs & mSATA drives will be on our site later today. Also, we use Samsung Memory and Seagate HDDs.
-
Thanks for the response!
I would also be interested in 2x8 GB modules instead of 4x4GB modules. Could such an option be made available as well? -
Malibal's site is updating!
-
LOL @ This topic. (April, April, April, April.... )
Good to see that they're updating the site with the new options. -
Does Malibal offer the W110ER? If not, is Reflexnotebooks my best bet as a Canadian?

Yep, just checked out their site, and it has been updated. Didn't see anything about a W110ER though. It is probably one of the best designed websites of the current clevo/sager retailers. I didn't know they offered a discount also. thanks.

How many people are interested in this model? We weren't planning on carrying it, but we've had a few people ask about it today.

I don't know if I am interested in it or not, depends on the price. I am in the market for a laptop (Serious buyer) and I want to spend around $1100 USD.

I know I'm only 1 person but I'm looking to purchase in the next few days. Being in Canada, I like the comfort of knowing that if something goes wrong, I don't have to worry about shipping across the border. That's what is swaying me towards either Malibal or Reflexnotebooks.
Been researching for a long time and am anxious to pull the trigger
-
Isn't Malibal in the US? I'm from Canada too (Toronto) so its either reflex or malibal. Which ever can give me the best deal.

They are US based but have a facility in Canada where you can ship your laptop if an issue arises.
-
What laptop are you planning on getting (specs too) and what price did you get quoted for?

I'm looking at the W110ER/Sager NP6110 but Malibal (as per response above) is not carrying it at this point so I do not have a quote on it. Reflexnotebook has not refreshed their site with Ivy Bridge yet so I'll wait until they do to price it out.
I'm also finding it difficult to not seriously consider the Sager NP9150 (Lotus P150EM-SE on Malibal's site) after seeing the early performance results of the Radeon 7970M. Not sure if I can justify the jump in price from the smaller NP6110, but it's awfully tempting. -
That should be possible, but remember that 8GB sticks cost about twice as much per GB compared to 4GB sticks, so it would add ~$80.
-
Then the W110ER should be right up your alley, it costs about 1k so you have room for a few upgrades.
-
It's X-mas in April.

I'm definitely excited (first post here). I've been eyeing this for months. Is the P151HM1 eventually going to come back? I'm looking to make a purchase some time around June. I do want to wait a little just to make sure I pick out the right specs based on the experiences other people have with the new IVB processors.

Yeah, I intend to put this machine in part to heavy numerical work on large datasets, and the option for future expansion is attractive.
As a side note, according to the Samsung datasheets I managed to pull up, a 1600MHz single 8gb module actually consumes less power than a single 4gb module. Nothing to write home about, but 2x8GB over 4x4GB saves 3W in the worst case (standby current) to 7.5W in the best case. If a system lasts for a very generous 5hours idling on a 75Wh battery, a 3W difference adds 75min. If the system lasts 2.5h, 17min. -
Keep in mind though that the 8GB sticks usually have lower timings than the 4GB counterparts. (slightly slower AFAIK, but you probably won't notice)
Also of course you need to have at least 2 in there of the same size/speed for dual channel operation.
