    Hello all,

I've recently purchased an Aftershock S-17 (Clevo P670RP6-G Probably....)
    https://www.aftershockpc.com/welcome/ProductconfigBaseic/s17-new-2

    Specs:
    Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ processor
    16gb Ram
    NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 1060

When i configured my Mshybrid software, I made a few tweaks to the "performance" mode as I am always on that mode.
    1) Minimum power state set from 100% (default) to 10%
    2) Fan-Mode to Automatic (Default)
    3) Graphics on MSHybrid (Default)

was playing Fallout 4, I noticed the CPU side was getting hot and temp reads out where showing 78 to 82 degress... I checked the air flow on the cpu side and it was quite low. Switching the fan profile to "maximum" brought the CPU temp down to a stable high-40's low 50's temp....

Is there a known issue with the default "automatic" fan controller?

Those temps are normal on a gaming notebook, and on this notebook, specifically. The fan curve doesn't max the fans out until much higher temps. Same applies to the GPU on this system.

No, but not everyone is in love with the way the fan profile operates. It doesn't sound defective on our end, at least.

It's tuned for noise rather than heat due to the typical requirements of owners of this machine.
